Photography has been a passion since my teenage years in South Africa. Being red-green colorblind influenced my artistic journey, leading me to initially explore the world of black and white. However, I quickly discovered beauty in the colors I saw, even though they may differ somewhat from those seen by others. This led me to explore abstract photography, sometimes using vibrant colors that might challenge the conventional notion of the use of color in artwork. For most of my work I use my camera to “paint” abstract images of everyday things, using shapes, textures, light and colors. The objects that I photograph are to be found everywhere around us and represent the world as I see it. What you see is essentially what I see through my lens. Most of my work is printed on matte paper, further enhancing the painting-like appearance of the images. In some of the collections on this site, I also show more conventional images of places I have visited. Enjoy, and feel free to contact me via the link on the left for comments or to purchase any of my work.
